Can't wait until Monday!

Monday is going to be the best day ever - I will be in Richmond to be sworn in as a member of the VA bar! Yea! The folks and my twin brother will be there too. I'll post some pics afterwards. Have a great weekend!

Memorial Day

Just wanted to share some pictures from Arlington National Cemetery from Memorial Day weekend. I hope if you have family or friends who served in the military, you take time this weekend to say thank you to them. I'd like to thank my granddad, dad, twin brother, uncles, and friends for their service.

Still Searching . . .

So the job search continues. I've been making contacts and sending out lots of resumes, although the market right now doesn't seem to be very good. My dream job would be with the Department of Justice - Civil Rights division, but from what I understand, it is very difficult to get in there. I am applying for several non-profit jobs with organizations that do civil rights work too.

I think the biggest thing I am learning from this job search is patience - so at least something positive is coming out of it so far! I'm just going to keep plugging away and eventually something will happen - I know it!

Whew . . .

Who knew that a job search could be so exhausting?! If anyone has connections or suggestions for finding a legal job in DC, let me know!

Growing Up Fast!

WOW!

I can't believe I haven't posted anything on here since November! And things have definitely changed! I studied super hard and sat for the VA bar again in February and rocked it! Found out that I passed on April 23rd and will be sworn in June 2nd.

While I begin the long search for a job, I am doing document review with several legal temp agencies in the DC area. It is quite an experience - both good and bad. I may discuss it at a later time.

Hopefully I'll have more time to post on a more regular basis. Hope all is well with everyone!
